Happiness

Not to be to philosophical, but I feel we misunderstand what is “true” happiness.

For instance, I love stationery and discovering (and owning)new stationery. I feel happy with I look at my stationery collections and I use it as sort of therapy when I am not having a good day. Just going through them and reorganizing them helps me calm the waves in my mind.

I also love watching K-Dramas with their mostly happy fairytale like ending and of course actual fairytales too. They make me happy too, and some of the comic scenes in them are truly iconic. When I want to disconnect from reality I always turn to my Watch list on Netflix for that much needed break.

Spending time with my family makes me happy too. Just seeing them happy makes all the troubles of life worth it. On the other hand, being an introvert, spending time alone makes me happy too. I love delving into my world of imagination, I am essentially doing noting, but I am still happy.

If you ask me which of these is true happiness I would claim all of it are. It just depends on the time and the reason why you are down to truly understand what you need to be happy again.

Play any Instrument

I admire musicians, amateurs or professionals it doesn’t matter. I believe that being able to make music is truly a blessing from God above.

I stand in awe, when I see someone play an instrument. I wish that I could be as good as them. I want to be able to understand notes when I play them be it on any instrument. Just imagine being a music prodigy, you can make any sort of music you want. How I wish I could be one!

Breathe

For me, this one word has been the thing that has kept me going. I remember a quote from my one of my favorite TV series which has resonated with me greatly.

“DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH, YOU STOP THINKING WHEN YOU STOP BREATHING…BREATHE”

Grey’s Anatomy

I keep repeating that to myself when I feel that I am drowning in the day’s turmoil. When everything seems difficult to do, when I feel that the I am stuck in the moment, and the next thing to do seems impossible. All I do is breathe. That one breathe helps me move on from that moment of uncertainty. The breathe that goes in will come out. I have taken the next step, even if I am not sure of anything else, breathing is something I can do.

So, if I were to ever have the guts to get a tattoo, it would be the word “Breathe” on my inner side of the right wrist.

Not an Easy Answer

I love most animals.. I say most because I am also scared of some of them. They are all creatures that were created by God. You just have to look at each one and know that every one of them are special and unique.

I think animals are pure. They have their inherent nature and do not live to hurt but rather to survive. People say “animal behavior” considering us humans to be better.

We were created in God’s image out of His love for us but that in no terms makes us greater, cause it’s His love that makes us unique.

I do not know enough about the beautiful creations of God to compare myself to them. I think we humans know so little about them it would be impossible to give an answer. Anything I say would be out of what I think I know about them and that won’t be the right answer. Maybe someday, when I have a better knowledge I will have an answer to this question.
