You were there…

Father, what have I done to deserve Your love?

Every time I fall, You are there to pick me up.
Every time I walk the wrong way, You always come to find me.
Every time I am broken with sorrow, You are there to hold me close.
Every time I feel that I can’t make it, You hold my hand and pull me over.
Every time I loose hope in things getting better, You give me a reason to be happy again.
Every time I feel alone, I feel that small tap on my shoulder and then, I see You with open arms.
Every time I am at my epitome of joy, You are still there cheering me on.
Every time I forget you, You silently wait for me to look over.
Every time I feel that no one can hear me, I hear that the that small voice saying “I’m here for you”.

Father teach me to love You like You love me.
Help me to always remember You are always there for me.
Jesus, make me worthy of Your Grace.

Finding Clarity

They said you need to loose yourself to find yourself,
I did not believe it to be so.

Little did I know that this world will teach me something I never knew there was to learn.

I have lost the ability to dream,
All I wish for now is to escape.

I want to fade away into the darkness,
Fade away from everyone’s memory.

I don’t want to be the reason for their pain,
Today I feel the burden of their love.

I feel too tired to go on,
I know I should not give up.
If I do, I escape the pain but add more pain to them.

I need to breathe again, I need to care again,
Little by little I need to build myself again.

Not to prove that I am better to them,
But to prove that I am better for myself.

I deserve to dream. I deserve to hope.
It was done to me, so I won’t break others to build myself.
I am going to find room for myself,
To make a life worth living.

The day I finally get rest, my life would have been one worth living.
I am going to try my hardest to make it so.

So come at me world, with all your worst,
I will break down but not give up.

Today I failed, but I will try again tomorrow.
The odds may not be in my favor, but I am bound to win at some point.

So I will keep trying, in the hope I can look back and say “I made it”.

A Silent Prayer from my heart for you

Cause I have seen the tears of sadness from the days before.

I wish you love abundant to fill your lifetime,
Cause I know the silent heartbreaks you have hidden within.

I wish you have smiles of the everlasting kind,
Cause I noticed the ones that faded away with time.

I wish you hope that feeds your dreams,
Cause I know the pain of failures you carry on your shoulders.

I wish you contention in the life you live,
Cause I know you only lived your life for others.

I wish that you always move forward,
Cause I have seen the chains of responsibilities that tie you down.

And last of all, I wish you faith in yourself,
Remember that what you have achieved, no one else has.

Standing at crossroads
Where did we go wrong?
Things were all mayhem
But we promised we’d stay strong
Everything that ever happened
Seems like a haze of a time long forgotten.

Every step is breaking us down
Life is charting a path that we hate
What was, is not what is anymore
Things that made us smile bring now despair.

Missing you is something I never wanted to know
Cause being with you was my forever story
The choices we made and the chances we took
Made us reach where we are today

A destiny that was never imagined
A future apart
With solitude and a broken heart.

I’ll take a little more pain,
If hurting me is what gets you to your feet,
I’ll take that pain.
If unloading your frustrations makes your day a little brighter,
I’ll take that pain.


If putting me down makes you stand a little taller.
I’ll take that pain.
If making me fell worthless is what you need to value yourself,
I’ll take that pain.


If blaming your failures on me is what gives you the courage to try again,
I’ll take that pain.
If silencing me is what gives you peace of mind,
I’ll take that pain.


If walking away from me is what you need to follow your dreams,
I’ll take that pain.
If breaking me down is what will build you back up,
I’ll take that pain.
I’ll take a little more pain to see you smile, dream and hope again!

Each time we fought you got hurt but the scars were left on my heart,
Each time we shared secrets you were relieved but I was always burdened.
Each time we consoled each other you recovered but I sank further in,
Each time I tried never to be the same I always failed and never did really change,
Each time you shed tears some fell from mine but I never let you notice,
Each time I fell I tried to get up on my own as I did not wan to be an obstacle in your way,

In your happiness I was happy but when I was sad no one cared,
I thought of you as my driving force for living,
As days went by I was no more part of your life,
When the words you spoke made me sad I hid the tears that fell from my eyes for which I always regret,
I once was an open book but as time passed I closed up myself,
I never told you what you said hurt me but hoped you would realize but never did,
I waited and waited for you to notice but you showed no signs of it,

So I accept it was my mistake,
I hurt you, I made you cry but I hoped you would always remain mine,
But now I know your happiness is not with me,
I just want to say I am sorry,
I can’t say anything else because you were and are my everything,
I am sorry for everything I have have said and done,
Please forgive me if you can and hope that you will give a place in a corner of your life again.

Life a prolonged Moment

Here is a short note on life … hilarious it seems today. One really wonders was goes through the mind of a eleven year old. Suppose it was an attempt on being philosophical. Maybe even trying to be a little positive..

What if Life was less than a moment
What if emotions ended in a glowering second
What if a a song ended in a blink of an eye
What if the wind dies out before it came
What if relationships are destroyed just after it is born
What if light become darkness at the next hour
What if we loose all our things in just a moment of thought
What if we live life as it comes rather than losing it in the thought of what is to come
Life is a gift once lived can never be retrieved
Live each moment as it comes to you

Heart ache

When you are a kid the worst thing that can happen would be breaking up with your best friends. We get so attached to people who were strangers. That on one day when they just say things that are so mean we wither a little.

I was a very emotional person, the first time I fought with my “best” friend I fell apart. This short note was written amidst flowing tears and a hand wrapped around my mouth to stifle the noise of crying. When I think of it today I wonder to myself – How could I have been that naive? Anyways, I got over that and many more worst situations. Glad that I made it.

WHEN ONE’S HEART ACHES

When one’s heart aches what can they think,
what can they tell, what can they shed nothing at all…
When a person heart breaks it shattered into a million pieces,
just one hit, yet no sound is heard..
When one’s heart is stabbed a million times the wound deepens but is noticed by none.
It happens in just a second but nobody knows.
When a person loses all hope,
When living has no meaning,
When dying makes no sense,
When emotions die out,
When positivism is replaced by negativism,
When love has gone away.
When loneliness grabs you,
When silence surrounds you,
When happiness is replaced by grief,
When you think it will never be your day,
When memories taunt you,
When ambitions scare you,
When dreams tear you,
When one’s heart aches..

A time when you only think about this world.
A time when the Lord stands so near,
Waiting for you to turn to Him.
When the love of God captures you,
When you know you can live on,
When you realize the life isn’t bad.
When you know that, He is there to help you at a turning or crossroad.
When the lost smile returns in a while,
When He lifts you from the pit of misery,
When He gives His happiness to you as a gift.
When a one’s heart aches, He must run to God and not to human fraud.
Dear Lord, lead me, mould me and teach me Your ways.
Help me forget all of my sadness,
With You I get forever gladness,
May I be forever happy with You even if my heart aches..

Whispers of the Soul

I wrote this poem while I was given a tour of a prospective college that I wanted to apply to. They kept on enlisting the merits of joining there the laurels they had got, the prestige of being an alumni.. the usual drill. All the while I was drifting elsewhere. I really don’t know what happened that day. It was along time ago. They had given us a notepad and pen as part of the welcome package. By the end of the session this is what ended up on my page.

SILENT TIMES

There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you find that there are things that cannot be explained.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you say things you mean but mean nothing to others.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you see things that others only occasionaly see.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you feel neglected when you really aren’t.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you sit under the sun yet darkness surrounds you.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you want to cry tears just don’t seem to come.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you are accompanied by millions but supported by none.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When your body is at rest but your mind is restless.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When your life seems endless but time is fleeting.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When you are surrounded by happiness but you find yourself plunged into sadness.
There are times when you don’t feel yourself,
When times just go on and you find no time to ponder on these going times.

Dreams, are anything or everything that you want to happen in your life.
Dreams are just meant to be the start of wishful thinking.
